Why These Permissions Are Important
To ensure accurate and timely delivery of prayer alerts, MasjidWala requires three essential permissions. Each permission plays a critical role in maintaining the app’s functionality and reliability.
- Notification Permission – Enables prayer time reminders
- Display Over Apps Permission – Shows full-screen prayer alerts
- Battery Optimization Permission – Keeps the app running in the background
Without these permissions, notifications may be delayed or may not appear at all.
1. Notification Permission
Allows MasjidWala to send prayer reminders directly to your notification panel.
Step 1 – Allow Notifications
When you open the app for the first time, tap Grant when prompted.
Step 2 – Confirm Permission
Tap Allow when Android asks to send notifications.
Step 3 – Notifications in Action
Prayer reminders will appear on your screen as each prayer time begins.
2. Display Over Apps Permission
Ensures full-screen prayer alerts appear even when using other apps or when your phone is locked.
Step 1 – Grant Permission
Tap Grant when prompted during setup.
Step 2 – Locate the App
Find and select Masjid Wala in the settings list.
Step 3 – Enable Overlay
Turn the toggle ON to allow full-screen prayer alerts.
3. Battery Optimization Permission
Prevents Android from stopping the app in the background, ensuring reliable notifications.
Step 1 – Grant Permission
Tap Grant for unrestricted battery usage.
Step 2 – Allow Background Activity
Tap Allow to keep the app running continuously.
